Thats 'ice' !

Hi everyone !

Quicker than a blink the next Friday spins around and we arrive at our next challenge over on the DCM blog ! This weeks challenge has been set by our design team member, Keryn.

Here's Keryns request 'Now it's my turn to announce the Dare for the week. As it's rather cold over in the Southern Hemisphere right now I want you to share in the chill. Make your cards using the theme of 'Ice and Snow'. You could showcase winter sports, icy colours or even icy emotions on your card and it would fit the theme beautifully'

This was a tricky one for me - My first thought- especially with Mid Winter Christmas celebrations just around the corner here int eh Southern Hemisphere. So my first thought was Christmas - problem is I havent got much Christmansy stash at the moment- and as I am mostly housebound at the moment with a bad back- I had to be a bit inventive!

Once again my cricut came to the rescue and I came up with this

The rest of the design team have come up with some beauties, so make sure you pop along to their blogs and check out everyone elses designs. Don't forget you can now also become a fan of the DCM on facebook too !!

Now last week the design team was kindly sponsored by Nikki Savils as such a generous sponsor we, the design team had a few goodie bags of stash to of our own to give away :) We all love getting stash in the post and I am happy to announce that the winner of my particular goodie bag is............

The very talented Sal (MrsK) !!!
Well done Sal ! Congratulations :) Many thanks also to everyone else who took the time to leave a comment on my blog- they are all very much appreciated !
Sal- drop me an email with addy and I'll put a little parcel in the post to you all the way from NZ ! :)

And lastly, I'm not the only one in my family who has been creative this week, my little boy (8 years) has created a mask, which now proudly hangs on the wall in our hallway. Very cool and colourful x

Have a good weekend all and I look forward to seeing your creations for this weeks dare !

Friday again

Another Friday here again- and in NZ its a long weekend ! yay. so monday off which is fab This weeks dare over on the Daring Card Makers blog is.............

The birthstone for June is the
Pearl
We'd like you to use lots and lots of beautiful pearls on your cards this week - or maybe you'll take inspiration from Pearls in another way, for instance the Pearl symbolises loyalty, faithfulness and friendship and is associated with modesty, chastity and purity

I love June ...my first baby was born in June...he was due in May - but was given to us in June. My baby boy...one of my many precious gifts, for which I am very thankful :)Happy birthday darling Cam x

Fridays Challenge

Oh so nearly back in the swing of things on the card making front - just the deadlines I'm having a tiny bit of trouble with!!

Over on the Daring Card Makers blog- This weeks dare was set by Lythan -
This week, my turn (Lythan) to choose the dare falls on my wedding anniversary. We've now been married so long we don't have a gift name associated as we are supposed to be saving up for Silver... Actually the first year we were married we forgot to buy cards for each other at all. So this year I thought I would help myself remember by having
Happy Anniversary
as the theme. It doesn't have to be Wedding Anniversary, it could be Anniversary of Adoption, moving house - whatever comes to mind!

I'm going through a black, pink and green faze at the moment - but nearly used up all the stash - so hopefully you might see a different theme coming through on the next cards !

Daring Cardmakers

Over on the Daring Card Makers blog this week the challenge was "BoyZone
and we'd like to see cards for Little Boys or Teenage Boys
(but not "Grown-Up" boys this time!)"

Its been a long time since I have contributed to the Daring Card Makers blog :( but the design team do a stirling job, producing wonderful, inspirational designs- week after week, which is fab- hopefully I will be joining in a bit more - once my designs get a little more up to scratch !

Anyway, Cameron's 14 birthday just around the corner- so I took the opportunity to show this - hopefully he wont find my new blog in the meantime !

More soon ,thanks for visiting,
Jx
